Intelligent power management solution based on LF-WM03 module at LeapFive

 

 

 

Smart grid has become an important initiative for most countries to improve energy efficiency, promote green economy, and deal with environmental climate change.  Most developed countries and emerging economies have introduced various relevant policies and plans to promote the renewal and development of smart grids.  Large-scale global smart grid construction will bring a broader market space for smart meters.  As the basis for the modernization of the global power infrastructure, smart meters include the integration of computing and two-way communication, which transforms ordinary meters from simple power metering tools into highly intelligent devices and plays a more important role in the power infrastructure.

Huang Jin, product manager of LeapFive Technology, reveals that the solution applies the core module LF-WM03, which integrates dual-mode Wi-Fi/BLE, smart bulbs, smart sockets, temperature and humidity sensors, and light sensors to collect electricity consumption information into the App, which is used to display electricity consumption and remote control; also, is complemented by a blockchain solution to realize distributed data recording and storage. This solution is mainly applied to various complex electricity scenarios and can perform statistical display and overall control of electricity.

Due to the continuous increase in social production and household electricity demand, the maximum load of power grids in many places across the country has repeatedly hit new highs, causing hidden dangers to the safe supply and smooth operation of the power grid system.  It is difficult to collect the traditional real-time collection of equipment power consumption information, the data reliability is low, and the upstream and downstream collaboration of the power system is not efficient, which is not conducive to the power grid side to implement user power consumption tracking.

Through blockchain smart meter + smart power equipment + smart power management platform supporting system, integrated Wi-Fi + BLE communication, the LeapFive solution can realize the collection of power data and intelligent management, realize scientific energy saving and consumption reduction, enhance equipment fault alarm capability through smart equipment operation status perception, realize remote control of various lamps and sockets by building a reasonable smart bulb smart socket control strategy for smart light bulbs and smart sockets, and build a safer smart equipment operation environment based on blockchain technology.

 

 

Huang Jin said: “the value of this solution are: in the collaborative work of smart meters, smart light bulbs, and smart sockets, connecting to the server through the App Bluetooth distribution network, to achive unified server control; and real-timely collect digital energy consumption meters (water, electricity , gas meter, etc.) data, displayed on the meter screen, and can accurately, finely, and transmit the collected energy consumption data to the background server in real time; supplemented by smart bulbs to achieve traditional functions, the light information obtained by the light sensor could automatically adjust the brightness or turn it on/off; through the App real-timely access to the electricity meter from the server side to collect electricity consumption data, read the historical data of the electricity meter, collect the status of lights, as well as the use of electrical equipment in the socket, in order to control the brightness of lights and smart socket switch.”
